Led by our in-house PADI Course Director and supported by five PADI Staff Instructors, the Buccaneer IDC combines instructor-level training, mentoring and practical teaching experience in a working dive-centre environment.

Become a PADI Instructor

Becoming a dive instructor is about much more than passing an exam.

At Buccaneer, our IDC is designed to prepare you to actually teach — confidently, professionally and safely — once your Instructor Examination is over.

Led by our in-house PADI Course Director and supported by a team of five PADI Staff Instructors, you'll benefit from an experienced instructor-development team throughout your training.

You'll work through the PADI Instructor Development Course while developing your classroom, confined-water and open-water teaching skills. You'll practise presentations, demonstrate skills, solve realistic teaching problems and receive individual feedback and mentoring throughout the programme.

And because you're training within a working dive centre, you're surrounded by real diving operations and an experienced professional team.

Prerequisites

Candidates must meet the current PADI requirements for entry into an Instructor Development Course, including appropriate professional-level certification, required logged dives, current CPR and First Aid training and medical clearance.
