This course greatly increases diver competence and confidence. Although challenging it is also enjoyable and very rewarding. You will learn problem anticipation, accident evaluation and management plus techniques for both self rescue and the rescue of other divers. The course is a combination of theory, pool sessions and open water sessions culminating in open water rescue scenarios where students get to demonstrate their acquired skills.

There is a First aid and CPR requirement and the PADI Emergency First Response course fulfills this requirement and can be taken in conjunction with the Rescue Diver Course.
