Schools To The Sea Programme
Standard 6 of a school located in Bombolulu who aims to provide a free or affordable education to some of Mombasa's most disadvantaged children. Although these students have access to public beaches, they do not have access to swimming pools to learn to swim and they have never been out on boats or into a marine reserve. The Schools to Sea programme not only lessened their fear of the water, it opened them up to a marine world they likely would never have had the opportunity to experience. The day with Bucaneers was followed up with more swimming lessons at a local hotel and lessons on marine conservation issues on the Kenyan coast.[read more][Contact us]
